Appointments
To allow ample time for all patients, we operate primarily by appointment. For existing Rose City clients, we may be able to offer support for their pets in emergency situations. These cases will be received as top priority, which is why occasional delay for scheduled patients may occur.
For your convenience, drop-off appointments may be available. A "drop-off" means you may bring in your pet and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually, we'll ask you to drop-off sometime in the morning, this way our doctors can examine your pet in between appointments or at the time specifically reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor has examined your pet, they will give you a call to review the diagnosis, treatment options and give discharge instructions. A daycare fee is charged for all drop-off appointments. Drop-off appointments may also be subject to an Urgent or Emergency exam fee, depending on the reason for the visit.
Patient Arrival
Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. For your pet’s protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area and exam rooms and all cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a harness/leash. We also have a designated “Cat Corner” just for our feline patients. We can provide a towel with Feliway for your cat or a Thunderease bandana for your dog. Both of these are calming Pheromone Sprays that can help reduce your pet’s anxiety.
Surgery and Dental Drop-Off
Our office opens bright and early for your convenience. Drop-off time is between 7AM to 8AM for our surgery and dental patients. When you arrive, please check in with the Client Care Representative. You will then meet with a technician or technician assistant to complete any paperwork and they will answer any questions you may have regarding your pet’s procedure. We will be in contact with you throughout the day to provide updates.
