Our Behavior Philosophy

We understand that a pet’s health and happiness - as well as your own! - cannot always be solved by medicine alone. In fact, understanding behavior and how it works in tandem with a pet’s overall well-being is vital to creating harmony between us and our pets. Behavior issues often manifest because of or in addition to health problems, or they may be completely unrelated. Understanding how pets perceive the world differently from us is the first step to changing behaviors in our companion animals. At Rose City Veterinary Hospital, we believe in a positive approach to behavior augmentation and training which is grounded in positive reinforcement to achieve the desired change in behavior for a given pet.
